Healthy Homes: making energy work for whānau

In this ONLINE course you will learn:

• The wider context about healthy homes and energy in NZ
• What a healthy home looks like and why this matters
• How energy works in a household (using your home as a place of learning!)
• How you can use your new learning to support whānau to make energy work for them.

The first session is a course welcome/mihi whakatau (via zoom).  This opens the training and introduces you to the HPA team and other people in your course.   The following four weeks of training take place completely online.   We send you an email to log in to HPA's training hub when you register for the course.

Each week you have videos to watch, tasks to do (in your own home), and you will join a review session (via zoom) where all participants join your trainer to review the week's learning.  You will be sent a hard copy manual to support your learning.  There are no assignments or exams.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Completion of this course does not qualify you to register for the certified Home Performance Advisor (this requires a pass grade in the Principles of Home Performance course).  Contact info@homeperformanceadvisor.org.nz to discuss.

2. If the organisation funding your training requires a Purchase Order (PO) number, PLEASE organise this.   We appreciate your including the PO as part of your registration, or send ASAP.
3. The course fee includes course materials, which will be couriered to you.
4. Organisations with charitable status or those that operate as not-for-profit are eligible for a discounted registration fee. Please tick the relevant box and add your charity number to access this discount.
